lyrics
Watching all my brothers fall,
The enemy's won,
A blade opens up my skull,
As I try to run,
We've fallen on the battlefield,
I've lost my head,
The ground lays the axe I wield,
On the field of red,
Watching as they take the town,
Through my dead eyes,
I see the Valkyrie come down,
I hear her cries,
Brings us up to Odin's land,
To Valhalla,
Where we make our final stand,
With black valor,
We die alone,
To become what's told,
To drink with gods,
Like tales of old,
Where mead runs wild,
Like streams that flow,
To fill our destiny,
Giants come to crush us all,
We stand our ground,
In the sky, here, we make the fall,
But we make no sound,
Fighting among Odin's men,
Among the gods,
Against the odds of one to ten,
Against their facades,
We die alone,
To become what's told,
To drink with gods,
Like tales of old,
Where mead runs wild,
Like streams that flow,
To fill our destiny,
We strike them down one by one,
We kill our foes,
Finally the day is won,
We're now heroes,
Now we drink until we sleep,
Debauchery,
For eternal life, we shall keep,
For eternity,
We die alone,
To become what's told,
To drink with gods,
Like tales of old,
Where mead runs wild,
Like streams that flow,
To fill our destiny.
I was hooked on these guys from the opening riff on 'Sabbath Highway'. Best band to come out of the last decade or more. Hard to believe I used to listen to the singer's old band 'Systematic' in high school; the guys come a long way its almost unrecognizable. Amazing debut. satanslabrat
I'd loved this on first listen years back and put it in my wishlist. Just came back to it today. I'd forgotten how great this is. Finally purchased. Love every track here. Thanks Black Elephant 🤟 Tim Grady
